Magical Mint Sugar Scrub

This sugar scrub is an excellent gift or party favor for someone you love (or yourself) that makes your skin super soft. Make it in under ten minutes and it you can use it immediately!

Coming out of the winter months, we are ready to trade in our dry skin for the moisture of the warmer months. We love this Mint Sugar Scrub as a way to expedite the process! It makes our skin super soft and smells amazing! Best of all, it makes a great party favor or gift.

This sugar scrub is made of all natural ingredients. Two oils are used to make the skin super soft and add in the moisture it is craving. I used both coconut oil and Argan Oil. The coconut oil works well for a scrub since it is solid at room temperature. It helps hold everything together and works well with the liquid Argan Oil. Both oils are great for the skin and smell great. I used fresh mint from the garden because mint has its own restorative properties that can make your skin look and feel amazing. Combining all of these ingredients makes for a fresh, spring-time product to use as part of your beauty routine.

This sugar scrub takes about 5-10 minutes to make (another thing that we absolutely love since we all know how busy life can be). After making a batch of Mint Sugar Scrub, we scooped it into half pint jars to make super cute favors for our family brunch for Easter. These would be a great gift though for a variety of occasions, especially for adults or teenagers. We are always looking for creative and useful gifts for the people we love and this scrub is perfect!

Since this scrub has fresh mint in it, we recommend keeping it in the fridge if you want it to last more than a week.

Ingredients:

3 Cups Granulated Sugar

¼ Cup Argan Oil

1 Cup Coconut Oil

⅓ Cup Fresh Mint Leaves

Makes about 7 jars.

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a food processor.

  2. Puree on high until well combined and all mint leaves are shredded.

  3. Check consistency for desired scrub texture. Add more sugar if the mix is too watery or add more oil if it is too stiff.

  4. Scoop mixture into half pint mason jars.
