Vegan Olive & Rosemary Drop Biscuits

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

Delicious, easy, dairy free, and fluffy vegan biscuits. These are so good, no one will guess that they are 100% vegan.

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog. Amber and I are so happy you stopped by!

Today we'd like to share one of our favorite PlantTastic recipes with you. I've never been a big fan of biscuits as I've usually found them pasty, greasy, and kind of flavorless. These biscuits are a game changer. They are just the right texture and are an absolute flavor bomb. As a bonus, they are really easy to make. Just grab your food processor, add a few ingredients, pulse a few times and you have wonderful, homemade biscuit dough.

“There's nothing more comforting then a hot biscuit served with a home-cooked meal.”

PlantTastic Cooking & Gardening is a Mother & Daughter team dedicated to All Things Plants! We will be bringing you 100% vegan, plant-based, dairy free recipes, gardening, and entertaining tips. Look out for our PlantTastic Cookbook in 2023!

Let's make some biscuits!

What are drop biscuits?

A drop biscuit is made, just as it's name implies, by dropping dough onto a pan with either a scoop or spoon. These types of biscuits do not require rolling or cutting. .They are a more rustic style of biscuit and scream "made by hand." As a bonus these biscuits are made vegan, plant-based and dairy free.

Do I have to have a food processor?

No, you can mix by hand but a food processor makes the job quicker and easier. If you prefer not to use a food processor, then blend as quickly as possible with each step. You don't want to heat up this type of dough or create glutton by overmixing.

What type of ingredients do I need to make vegan drop biscuits?

Flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, vegan buttermilk and plant butter.
