Vegan Bread & Biscuit Board Idea "Bunny Biscuits"

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

An adorable way to serve bread at your next Easter gathering or Spring Baby Shower! These are easy to make plant-based, vegan, and dairy-free. It would even work with a gluten-free biscuit recipe.

In a hurry? You can make this using the tubed crescent rolls and biscuits as I've demonstrated in the video below! I prefer using drop biscuits at the event as they taste so much better with just a few extra ingredients and pulses in the food processor. You can use our Vegan Rosemary and Olive Drop biscuit recipe or if you would like a plainer biscuit, just leave out the rosemary and olives and brush with melted plant butter and a little garlic after baking. Sprinkle on some parsley for beautiful color.

"Who doesn't like bread? and when it's quick, easy and decorative... it's a winner!"

Frequently asked questions...

Can I substitute rolled or another style biscuit for the tubed biscuits/crescents?

Yes, absolutely and we encourage you to make homemade biscuits. They taste better, and are less processed!

Can I just do the biscuits and not make the cheese and butter spread?

Yes, you can leave the ring open or put another type of spread or olives in the center. You can also add more

biscuits to the center if you wish. Light-colored nuts such as pine nuts work well too or just plain whipped butter if you are short on time.

Is it possible to make this with gluten-free biscuits?

Of course, just use your favorite recipe and follow the baking instructions.

What type of flowers are edible and safe to use?

Organic non-treated roses, nasturtium, calendula, viola, pansy, hosta, sunflower, french marigold and so many more! If growing them yourself, make sure they do not come in contact with any chemical sprays, fertilizers, or other toxic lawn applications. Always check with your grocer, florist, or source before consuming bought flowers and verify that they are untreated and safe around food just in case little hands happen to eat a petal by accident.
